Evaluation of the degree of plaque formation using a toothbrush after periodontal therapy in patients with various degrees of periodontal diseases.
The toothbrush is essential for daily oral hygiene. However, plaque formation on the teeth cannot be completely eliminated even after the most careful brushing. Our purpose was to evaluate the degree of plaque formation after periodontal therapy using a toothbrush in patients with various degrees of periodontal disease. This study was performed in 59 patients who received non-surgical periodontal therapy. Plaque scores were evaluated before and after treatment in all teeth, including all teeth (T), non-verticible teeth (TV), furcation areas (F) and inaccessible teeth (IT). The degree of plaque formation was significantly different in the T, F and IT areas compared with the TV area. We defined 0.33 as the upper limit of the T area, and 0.14 as the upper limit of the IT area. Our results indicate that toothbrushing after therapy was insufficient in the T, F and IT areas.Q:

Injectivity property of induced homomorphisms of coinvariant submodules

Suppose $M$ and $N$ are finite dimensional vector spaces over a field $F$ and $f: M \to N$ a $F$-linear map. Let $I = \{1, \ldots, m\}$ and let $M’$ and $N’$ be subspaces of $M$ and $N$ respectively of cardinality $m$ and submodules of $M$ and $N$ respectively. Is it true that the homomorphism

f_*: M’ \otimes_F \text{coinv}_I(M) \to N’ \otimes_F \text{coinv}_I(N),

given by $f_*(m’ \otimes_F m) = f(m’) \otimes_F f(m)$, for $m’ \in M’$ and $m \in \text{coinv}_I(M)$, is injective?

A:

Yes.
